Qucor was delighted to be one of 20 companies
world-wide selected to present at the Emerging NanoBusiness Showcase
in Chicago in November 2005.
The Showcase was part of the NanoCommerce / SEMI
NanoForum Conference, attracting wide representation from industry
and investors, and was intended to present “the most revolutionary
and innovative technologies, nano applications, commercialization
strategies and business models emerging today”.
The capabilities we presented at the showcase
are summarised in our "Extreme
Nanotechnology" publication.
In December 2005, Qucor signed a Joint Venture
Agreement to create Quantum Communications Victoria (QCV).
The joint venture includes the University of
Melbourne, MagiQ Technologies Inc, and Silicon Graphics Pty Ltd,
and was formed with significant cash support from the Victorian
State Government to develop a prototype single photon source for
absolutely secure data encryption systems. Further details of the
